Kevin Lynch's is the notable representation of urbanism characteristics, which introduces the 5 elements of an successful urban city, which includes path, districts, edges, landmarks and nodes.

 

As Semester 5 introduces urbanism theory to students, this module allow us to have a deeper knowledge about the authors and publications about urabanism theory. With the synopsis that needed students to produce based on the articles that were given.

Furthermore, students have to produce a personal analysisation urban theory into a selected local site, according to the knowledge gained from the module, as well as to analyse whether the city has the charateristics of the 5 elements that proposed by Kevin Lynch.
