The concept of my VIC design is 'Revive'. This concept appears in mind because the candis in Lembah Bujang are being constructed in the ancient time, but they were demolished during civilisation but after that, the frangments and remains of the ancient candis were being reconstructed again for exhibition. This whole process reflects a feeling of revive in achitecture, ancient believes and people's knowledge. The fragments recombined into a new form is the initial form of my design, and they were translated from squares as the basic shape for a candi is square. And there are 4 frangments of spaces because it represents the 4 journeys of life which consists in Hinduism.

Reflective

There was hardship before this final concept development as fragments is the form of my design and I only thought of rectangulars and cubes and I was not satisfy with it because I don't like the previous design at all. But then, I've changed the design into forms that developed from squares, and it all become more relevant to what I imagined before and fulfill my needs into the design. I do learned that the need of constant development into the design and play with lights and forms to enhance the genus loci in the spaces.

Project 2 - VIC Concept Development

As students had learned about the importance of applying genus loci into their design, in this project, students were required to design a visitor interpretive centre based on the information gather in the field trip, which in this time, it's in Lembah Bujang, Kedah. Students need to design the VIC replacing the existing archeology museum on the site and also rearranging the artifacts in the museum into the VIC. This project is to describe the concept of the VIC design and show the development of the concept in the presentation. This project required students to make a site analysis presentation with the rpevious groupmates, then produce 2 A2 boards for the individual presentation.
