Intoduction

 

This module focus mainly in the structures and frame in buildings, and guide students to understand how a rigid and stable structure could be made. Further calculations and analysis is conducted to let the students to know how to determine the load of the structure transfered and the value of load the the structure can withstand.

 

There are 2 projects in this module, the first project was to produce a truss structure by using a fettuccine that could withstand the designed withstand weight. Next, students need to select a bangalow and identify the possible beams and columns positions within the building and conduct calculation to the components.
