Description

Students are required to rpoduce a set of measured drawings of the chosen building, which in our group, the Lian Huat Paper Co. We are required to produce the drawings by using Autocad. Next, a scaled down model of the building is also required in this project, by using balsa wood and other required materials.

Reflective

While on site, We've separated into pairs of juniors and seniors to measure our respective parts of the building. I was paired with Linda on site and she is friendly and helpful while I get confused to the measurements and appropriate drawings of sections and elevations. Before this project, I am new to Autocad as we manually draw our design manually for presentation, I've also get to know the usage of Rhino and Sketchup. I am responsible in section and detail drawings and also exploding the doors and windows in this project. I never thought of entering the CAD team at first as I'm afraid that I might delay the progress but now I am glad to be on the CAD team as I've learnt a lot of the techniques in plotting and cadding from the helpful seniors.
