Description

The question that I've chose is to analyse the concept and architecture of York Minster. The significant parts of York Minster that I've chose were the Central Tower, Chapter House, West Front, Rose Window, Norman Remain and also the Flying Buttress. Central Tower was built in perpendicular style, the construstion of rose window at the north transept and also the flying buttress which are important parts in gothic architecture. The Chapter House has a domed roof without a central supporting pillar which shows the outstand of construction system of York Minster's archbishops. The part that I admire the most of the York Minster building is the West Front, this is because of it's complicated decorations that shows the magnificence of gothic architecture, other than that, it also has distinctive pointed archs and towers which make the building looks solemn but grand at the same time.

Reflective

I was first introduced to York Minster through this project and I never thought that gothic architectures have many significant parts to be focused on. I've drew a lot of the significant parts of York Minster in my presentation board, throughout the process I've learned that gothic architectures has a lot of detail and complicated decorations that need to be focused on. I've also learned more history about York Minster that makes me to be more appreciate to the architectures around us and also the architects's effort on their architectures.

Project 2 - Individual Presentation Board

This project has connection with Project 1, which for what we had discussed in online forum with our groupmates, we put what we had earned and also informations into the A2 presentation board. For each groupmate would have different selected question to construct our answer into the presentation board.
