Description
The selected building that given to us was York Minster, which is a gothic cathedral that is located at York, England. It is the largest medieval cathedral in all Northern Europe. The online forum's questions that I've focused on were who is the architect of the building and where and when was the building built. Through what I've reserched, this cathedral was once a Norman Cathedral, but it become gothicly designed was to allow considerable enlargement to the cathedral in maintaining with its status as the centre of an Archbishopric, which was started by Archbishop Walter de Grey. This cathedral represents almost every stages of gothic design, the duration forYork Minster to become entirely gothic was more than 250 years and many other archbishops were involved in this development.
