Intoduction

 

Through this project, students are introduced to various type of building services, such as water, electricity, storm water and sewerage systems, further studies such as mechanical transporatation, mechanical ventilation, fire protection and also air conditioning systems.

 

There are 2 projects in this module, the first modeule is to let students to use back their Studio 2 project, the Retreat House, to produce 2 A2 boards with the water supply, electricity, drainage and sewerage systems.

 

Next, students have to conduct a site visit to building which has minimum 5 storeys to research about the type of mechanical transportation and ventilation systems, air conditioning and fir protection systems and conclude the research in a case study paper.
