Project 1 - Gateway to Taylor's University
In a group of 3, students are required to produce a gateway design that coul introduce the first impression for the visitors to Taylor's University with the well considerations of site context and also include a specific activity that make the design unique and could represent the environment of the institute.

In this project, I was grouped with Yew Jie En and Hon Yi Hang. the concept of our design is 'Energized' which is inspired from the youthfulness, young and always full in energy of the new generations, like the students in the university. Oher than that, when we're on the site, the prevailing wind that drivens the lake to have ripples and made the trees and leaves to sway, it seems that the overall environment is moving and alive, this is where the concept 'Energized' inspired from. As the form wise, the design is organic in shape because organic shape represents the swiftness of the wind and also like the free wind without any restrictions, and it also able to represent the feeling of futuristic as it is a concept inspired by the youth. The specific activity that we implied into the design is slide, not only as it matches the organic shape of the design, but also the slide evokes the simplest fun that we had since we were young and free from ostacles.
Reflective
Through this project, we have learned how to brainstorm and compile everything that we had in a short time since this is a short project which was completed in 2 weeks. The reason that this project only required 2 weeks to complete is that it emphasises on how the site context affect our design. This project intoduces us on the design with context and also design with sustainable considerations.
