Description

The hatching techniques that we've used in this project were hatching, stippling, scribbing and cross hatching. This project was focused on the density of the hatching in a particular part of the object, such as a darker area needs denser hatching while brighter area needs a less dense hatching in order to produce an interesting and 3D-like drawing.

Reflective

For me, the hardest hatching technique in this project was stippling, as during stippling, the pencil should be sharp or not the drawing will look blur and this technique also time consuming too. This project guide me to learn various hatching skills and tonal values, in future building drawings, by using different hatching techniques can differentiate materials too.

Project 1B - Hatchings

This project required us to choose an object and use 4 different hatching techniques to sketch out the chosen object. It also required us to take a photo of the object under a light source so that we can determine the direction of shadow based on the position of the light source.
