Project - Research Proposal, Video Recording, Interpretation and Analysis Proposal

 

The project that needed to complete in this module are all integrated by using the same topic produced by each students, first, the student requires to come out with a research question relating to food and culture of a selected destination. Then a video is produce under an group of three, and finally, conclude the research and analysis in a desired presentation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The selected destination to conduct our own group's analysis is located at SS15, where students are the major community and cafes and leisure restaurant are designed and located that tag heated students to spend their time in. The research question that I suggested is how does the environment of a restaurant affects the dining experience of the customers. This is because what I feel is that people nowadays tend to spend more time and willing to dine in a cozier and modern space rather than at their own traditional cultures cuisine dining destinations. This embarks the want-to-know that does people nowadays select the place to dine in is base on a more developed and modern design environment rather than in a more rural and traditional undersigned space.

 

Reflective

This module has got me think out of the box of architecture where considering food is also an aspect in presenting the desired environment of the dining space, which in turn, affecting the dining experience by the customers, through the lighting and material ambience, type of decorative elements implemented, spatial arrangement, it is truly and eye opening and I must say, this module is not another formal academic scoring subject, but a fun module that let total freedom for us to explore and investigate the reality and the actual human behavior towards the designed architectural space.
